Great Effects Of Anti Inflammatory Foods

By Annabelle Holman

Inflammation can be caused by things you eat. If your diet is based on inflammatory food, it will increase your chances for cardiovascular diseases and other health problems. You can even feel pain more intensively, especially pain related to arthritis, if your diet isn't properly balanced. Anti inflammatory foods have numerous positive effects on your health as well as on your weight.

Junk food and highly processed food usually contain large number of calories, but very little valuable nutrients your organism needs for proper functioning. This type of food quickly increase your blood sugar level but it doesn't supply your organism with essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. That's why it causes inflammation.

Anti inflammatory food may reduce inflammation, if eaten regularly. Typical foods on the anti-inflammatory diet are all fruits and vegetables, fish and seafood, non-fat and low fat milk and yogurt, soy, almonds, nuts and other food rich in minerals, vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids and healthy mono-saturated fats. When it comes to vegetables, some say you should avoid so called nightshade vegetables, for example tomato, potato and eggplant.

Fruits are especially valuable source of anti-oxidants, in the first place brightly colored ones such as berries. Fruits usually don't contain much fat, but avocado is a great source of mono-saturated acids that is absolutely beneficial for you. Nuts and seeds, for example flax-seeds, walnuts and almonds, are valuable sources of highly beneficial substances your body needs to stay healthy.

Although fats are calorie rich, you need to include them in your diet as well. Your body needs them to be able to work properly. Your brain, for example, needs them especially. You should choose healthy fats, such as those contained in olive or canola oil, but in reasonable amounts. Remember that some other sources of fat are included in your diet, for example nuts and seeds, meat and fish.

Fish such as salmon, sardines and tuna are just great sources for inflammatory protein. Most seafood is also beneficial. You should eat fish every week, at least once, but this means that you should eat freshly prepared, not canned fish. Remember, you should avoid any industrially processed food, whenever you can. Forget about frying, your food can be consumed fresh, cooked or baked instead.

Drink water, spring or mineral one, natural fruit and vegetable juices, herbal teas or even coffee. Don't add sugar, but use stevia instead. Don't drink sweet industrial beverages. The most valuable fruits and vegetables are dark green and brightly colored ones. Avoid adding salt in vegetable juices. One banana a day is perfectly enough, it is really rich in calories. Apricots contain vitamin B-17, and are really healthy, even when dry.

Avoid all processed food, especially snacks, white bread and sweets. Anything that contains sugar, too much salt and white flour is bad for you. Choose legumes, whole grains, seeds, walnuts and other healthy food. You can safely consume herbal teas and even coffee. Coffee seems to have very nice effect on your organism, when it is consumed in reasonable quantities.
