People Really Love Their Toggi Jackets

By Marcie Goodman

Having good winter clothing is essential for people who live in areas that get cold winter weather. Figuring out if you only need a couple of Toggi jackets or if you need a much warmer get up is simple enough. Find out what kind of weather your area has had, historically. Figure out how comfortable you can be in cold weather and then see what kind of budget you can allow for it.

Horses and the equestrian lifestyle provide many different levels of involvement. You can be a weekend hobbyist or a full time employee. In order to figure out which level is best for you, it is probably a good idea to speak with people who are involved in all of the different ways. For most people, having a hobby is enough but if you are passionate about it, you may consider doing more.

There are many schools around the nation who deliver top notch educations in equestrian studies. They can provide the focus and direction necessary to find the right career in this field. It is a difficult industry to get a good foothold in and having a degree will provide you with a leg up on the competition.

For some people, being cold isn't as uncomfortable for others. If you are used to a mild climate that doesn't get very frigid in the winter, you may not be able to handle it as well as some other folks do who are used to a cold winter. Your own ability to handle the cold and still be comfortable is a deciding factor of what to wear and how to dress.

On the other hand, it isn't a deal breaker if you don't have any knowledge about what you sell. Informing yourself about something can be relatively easy if you do it the right way. Make sure to study the available literature and spend a little bit of time every day learning. In this way you will grow not only as a student to life but also in your chosen area.

Consider that you yourself are a customer and consumer. Think about the last time that you went out to purchase something specific and then think about how helpful the salesperson was. If they understood the product that they were trying to sell, you probably had a much more enjoyable experience. This is a good way to understand how being informed can help you as a salesperson.

Ignorance does not translate into good sales. When you have a large base of knowledge to work from, customers will relate to the product more and purchase more often. Knowing your product, intimately, will allow you to impress potential customers and will give you a better chance at making money. As many sales jobs are commission-based, this can turn into more profitable work.

Before you assume that buying a pair of riding pants and Toggi jackets will make you a horse whisperer, do the research to find out if equestrian hobbies are right for you. They are very expensive and difficult to maintain. Horses are beautiful but they aren't for everyone.
