West Chester Swimming Lessons For Anyone

By Jocelyn Davidson

Swimming is actually very crucial in the life of any person because it is not only a great exercise but is can also be a life saver. If one has never taken west chester swimming lessons before, then here is an idea of how they would actually be. In a nutshell, complete lessons are split into three levels which would be the beginner, the advanced, and the competitive.

Now in a nutshell, an entire swimming lesson is to be split into the first, second, and third level. The first level is the level of beginners and it is where one is taught how to float. Now floating is the most important concept in this sport because it is the only way one will learn how to maneuver his body in the water.

Once he learns the basics of floating, he will then learn how to kick while he is inside of the water. By kicking the water with feet kicking alternately, one can actually push his entire body while in the pool. Of course he will also then learn how to use hand movements along with this in order to do the move known as the freestyle.

Once he has already mastered the basics, then he can learn some other new moves like the dog crawl and the frog kick. Now while doing these moves, one must put his head above the water. This will allow him to continue breathing even though he is moving his body.

Upon finishing the beginner level, one can now move on to the second level which is the advanced level. Now the very first lesson that one will be learning in this level would of course be the backstroke because it is actually the easiest. In order to do this, one will just be doing a freestyle stroke while lying on his back. This move is actually very relaxing and will actually help one relax if he is tired.

The second stroke that he will then be learning is the breast stroke. Now one may probably be familiar with this stroke because it is actually one of the most popular to do. To do this, one has to spread his arms to the side then move his upper body up while doing frog kicks with the legs.

Now the last and probably the hardest move that one will learn is the butterfly stroke. This move is quite hard to do because it does require a lot of upper body strength as well as a lot of abdominal strength to perform. Basically, one will be kicking the pool with two legs at the same time and then will be propelling himself forward.

So after learning all those strokes, one will now be able to go into the competitive level. Now it is in this stage that one will be looking at the form of all the moves that he has learned. He will also be training his stamina in this stage.
